About the Author: James A. O'Leary, M.D. is a graduate of Georgetown University Medical School and spent his career working with mothers with high-risk pregnancies for four decades. He authored the only book to date on birth injuries, Shoulder Dystocia and Birth Injuries. He was a tenured professor at Loyola University and The State University of New York. Having published 200 peer-reviewed medical articles, he is an expert in not only research and education, he too struggles with dyslexia. He is a grandfather to three girls and volunteers extensively at a school for dyslexic children in Naples, FL. He and his wife Arlene reside in Naples and he enjoys spending his free time reading and enjoying his family.
