Besides the beautiful city of Valencia and an intense language course, which consisted of 20 hours of Spanish classes and socio-cultural modules, a multifaceted program awaited the Language Olympics' winners.
On the first day of language school, a traditional tour through Valencia's historic city center was arranged. During the tour, important cultural and historical monuments were discovered: Lonja de la Seda, Plaza de la Reina, Mercado Central, Cathedral, Plaza de Toros and many others.
Other tours to Valencia's beach and harbor are at hand. The students were sure to take advantage of the good weather.
There were also opportunities to dive into Valencia's past with a visit to the Museum of City History, as Valencia played an important role in the country's history. A trip to Monasterio San Miguel de los Reyes highlighted the cultural importance of Valencia.
The world wide known Flamenco dance is deeply rooted in Spanish culture, so the students were offered a Flamenco-Night to experience and enjoy this tradition.
