BRADENTON, Fla. - Sept. 30, 2019 - PRLog -- Tastes in art vary as much as do artists. Barebrush artists paint, draw, and photograph their world for their enjoyment and yours. Welcome to October -- savory and sweet.

Ilene Skeen is pleased to launch the  Barebrush October 2019 Art-of-the-Day Calendar.  Our October 2019 calendar complements the fall sunlight of October and brighten dreary days with interesting images. All Barebrush calendars are visible on-line via links in the Barebrush Archives.

Barebrush presents evocative contemporary art on the world's most innovative website. At, daily art sharpens your enjoyment of life day by day. Each day of the month features a distinct artwork, and the art is revealed one day at a time, just as life reveals itself to us in our living of it.

The October Art-of-the-Day Calendar

The Barebrush October calendar begins with a remarkable color pencil figure study, Luke Pensive by Jon Rettich, a Barebrush Featured Artist. The thoughtful mood of the solidly realized nude male figure is revealed to us by his slightly leaning posture, his carefully placed feet, clasped hands, darkened face and downcast eyes. Although color pencil is rarely thought of as a prestigious media for fine art, Rettich shows what remarkable skill and sensitive artistic insight can accomplish. A second charming work by Rettich, a cat doing what cats do best, Watts Huddled, appears on October 10th.

Notable also is a photograph by Peter Wong King of New Mexico. We see the pure, benevolent joy of The Radiant Smile (October 3rd). This delightful photograph of a lovely young woman in a blue dress entices us into a spontaneous grin. Another strong photo, appearing on October 12th, Acorralado (Cornered) is by Panamanian artist, Tony Lee. On October 25, we see the masterful oil, Painting 97 - Elyse, by Featured Artist Richard White of Connecticut. All together, thirty one different and interesting artworks by contemporary artists fill the days of October.

September 2019 is now completely visible on the Barebrush website. October will be revealed day by day.

Each day has its individual art. Just click on the calendar link at the end of this sentence and you will realize that all will be revealed in time...
