Local Mental Health Advocate Jamie Belsito invited to Speak at North Shore Baby Bash

TOPSFIELD, Mass. - Sept. 20, 2019 - PRLog -- On Sunday, September 22 local Maternal Health Advocate, founder of Effie's Grace,  Legislative Director of the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance and Congressional candidate Jamie Belsito, will deliver a personal leadership talk on Postpartum Mental Health and How the voice of One Mom Can Help so Many.

Belsito will share her story around the pregnancy and postpartum mental health challenges she faced, the support she found with PPD NS HELP, and how she spearheaded a grassroots movement that led to change on how we take care of Mothers' mental health at the state and federal level.

Jamie is a Commissioner on the Ellen Story Special Commission on Postpartum Depression for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the former Advocacy Chair for the National Coalition for Maternal Mental Health.  As an authority in maternal health policies on both a state and federal level, Jamie brings her expertise to Massachusetts Statehouse and Capitol Hill to seek better maternal health outcomes for pregnant and new moms. She is also on the Board of Trustees for Salem State University.

The North Shore Baby Bash will be held on September 22 Sun 11-4PM  at The Boston Marriott Peabody.
