By: GLE-UK The first event in England featuring Dr Alfried Laengle, will be an Open Day & Workshop to be held at Birkbeck, University of London, 18:00 - 21:00 hrs, 18 September. At this event, Dr Laengle will present and discuss the ideas of the Viennese School of Existential Analysis and Logotherapy, a specific approach to a fulfilling life with the aim of helping people come to live with their inner consent. On September 19, Dr Laengle, together with Emmy van Deurzen, will be present at the book launch and signing of "The Wiley World Handbook of Existential Therapy". Prof Emmy van Deurzen is a philosopher, counseling psychologist and existential psychotherapist, the principal of the New School of Psychotherapy and Counseling at the Existential Academy in London. Dr Alfried Laengle's visit to England will also mark the introduction of The Austrian Training Programme for Psychotherapists in the UK. As the creator of the programme, Dr Laengle will present its introductory days on September 20 and 21. This 18 module course will provide unique skills in existential analysis and logotherapy, and open up new future paths for the trainees.
