Aron Blue Tells the Truth About Mermaids

NEW YORK - Sept. 18, 2019 - PRLog -- Singer-songwriter and guitarist Aron Blue has released  a new song "Atlantis" that describes the unsettling truth behind what might seem an innocent fairytale.

In "Atlantis" Aron Blue explores the roots of mermaid mythology, using Homer's Odyssey as a guiding trope. Written from the point of view of a "half-time Siren", she describes the delicious world of Atlantis as a way to lure sailors into joining her at the bottom of the sea.

The difference between mermaids and sirens is a subtle one that Aron explores in her lyrics, and also the accompanying video, which demonstrates an interplay between the fantasy and hard reality of an artist life. From her, we learn the truth that mermaids (and perhaps artists) are often deadly to mere mortals.

"Atlantis" is currently available on all major digital outlets, including Spotify and Apple Music, and is available for use in Instagram stories. The video, shot on an IPhone 10 in Las Vegas and the Mojave desert, can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ai5fthL5uY

Aron Blue has performed across the country, from The Viper Room in Los Angeles to The Bitter End in New York City. Her songs have been heard on public radio and Democracy Now. Her production of a street musician's reworking of "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" was featured by Vice Magazine.
