Experienced Caregiver, Engineer and Disabled Veteran Launches New Home Helpers Franchise in DFW Area

DALLAS - Sept. 18, 2019 - PRLog -- Although Kim Byrd's career has been in engineering, she has always been a caregiver at heart. Now she's looking forward to pursuing her passion through her new Home Helpers Home Care franchise in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

With the help of my spouse, and my Faith in GOD, I've been blessed to be a caregiver for my mother, who is currently receiving Hospice care, as well as three of my siblings and my elderly Father before they passed away," Kim said. "When you have a sudden life-changing event happen to you, there's no preparation or caregiver process explaining the required tasks and steps, but you still feel a sense of responsibility to your loved one. Kim co-owns the business with her husband, Douglas M. Byrd, Jr., who is a disabled veteran. but also maintains a technical degree and together the two have a combined 30 years of experience with the United States Air Force.  Kim discovered Home Helpers while looking for a company to help her care for her mother and she realized there was an opportunity to pursue her dream, help people and serve her community by opening her own franchise.

Home Helpers offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person's individual needs.
