On Saturday 26 October, Airds Hotel & Restaurant in Port Appin (www.airds-hotel.com) near Oban, will host an exceptional 9-course Champagne Dinner pairing exquisite cuisine with flawless fizz.  Duval-Leroy, the chosen champagne house is a pioneer of sustainable viticulture based in Vertus in the Côte des Blancs region to the south of Epernay, famous for producing elegant wines of delicacy and finesse.

Wine expert Tony Sparrow will introduce the champagne before each dish exclusively created by Airds' Head chef, Calum Innes.  The price is from £495 per person and includes the Champagne Dinner, overnight accommodation (2 sharing a classic double room) and full Scottish breakfast. The Champagne Dinner is open to non-residents for £145 per person.

Arrive in good time to admire the surrounding countryside's stunning autumn colours as the sun sets over Loch Linnhe.  The evening starts at 7pm with canapés and a glass of Duval-Leroy Brut Reserve in the lounge.  Moving into Airds' elegant dining room for dinner, guests will sample west coast gastronomy at its finest accompanied by sparkling examples of Duval-Leroy's production.

The house of Duval-Leroy, a partnership between wine trader Edouard Leroy and grape-grower Jules Duval founded in 1859, produces vintage and non-vintage cuvées and organic wines. The 490-acre vineyard grows predominantly chardonnay and pinot noir grapes. Its flagships, made only in exceptional years, are Fleur de Champagne and Femme de Champagne, both of which feature in the dinner.

Airds Hotel & Restaurant, a former ferry inn, is an intimate luxury hotel of 8 rooms and 3 suites at the heart of Argyll.  Fresh local ingredients from Scotland's larder showcase the area's rich and varied terroir.
