Vintage Flying Museum Will Hold 29th Annual Big Band Hangar Dance On Saturday, September 28

FORT WORTH, Texas - Sept. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- The Vintage Flying Museum will hold its 29th Annual Big Band Hangar Dance & Silent Auction, Saturday, September 28, 2019.  This event is a major fund raiser for the museum, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 charitable organization that beings aviation history to life for guests who can look behind the scenes at restoration projects.

"Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans is our theme honoring veterans for their service – now and throughout history," said Charlyn 'Chuckie' Hospers, Director of the Vintage Flying Museum. We are excited to welcome everyone to honor our veterans and enjoy a fun-filled evening of dinner and dancing."

The dance is staged in an authentic World War II B-29 hangar.  The Dynamic Swing Machine band will take the crowd back in history by providing big band sounds for a nostalgic evening of fun.  Attendees are invited to wear traditional 40's attire or come as their favorite aviators or other service members.  This period attire is optional, but prizes will be awarded for those judged best.

Greatest Generation Aircraft's A-26A, "Special Kay," will serve as the backdrop for the band.  This award-winning aircraft received the 2018 Experimental Aircraft Association's Airventure Best Bomber Lindy Award.

Dinner will be served from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with dancing from 8-midnight.  The event is BYOB with soft drinks and snacks available for purchase.

Advanced dinner and dance tickets are $55.  Dance only tickets are $35 in advance, or $40 at the door.  Reserved tables are available with the purchase of ten tickets.  Corporate tables are also available for $1200.  For an additional cost of $80, those attending can take a nostalgic flight over the city of Fort Worth in a C-47 (weather permitting).  Flights will begin at 5 p.m.
