EDMONTON, Alberta - Sept. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- "I hope you can understand that these are critical issues and worthy of intensive consideration. It greatly upsets me that these issues are not at the forefront of government debate. I owe my allegiance perhaps not to my government but to any institution on this earth that will take action on this to ensure my sons future. The best way to ensure cooperation from the world's biggest polluters, the US and China, is to take action and lead by example. I hope this letter finds you well, and thank you for your time. I hope we can continue to discuss."

These were the last words I wrote to Edmonton West Incumbent Kelly McCauley on August 5th 2018. Unfortunately, I never received another response. Our full correspondence is linked below.

My name is Jeff Cullihall. I'm a 36-year-old Albertan, born and raised in Ft. McMurray, I have been living in Edmonton since 2003 when I was 19. I am a father and career telecommunications/networking technician. I was first exposed to the climate emergency in 2014 when my son was four. I decided that it was my duty as a parent to determine if there was a threat to him within his lifetime-and found continuously since then that there very much is. I have devoted myself to ongoing study, spreading awareness, and combating provably false information. Global food production is already effected by climate change. Hurricanes with sustained wind speeds over 249km/h have tripled in occurrence compared to 1980. The University of Alberta has documented an increase in mercury levels into water systems in the Arctic of over 6666%. Salmon fisheries across the world are in crisis. Thousands of dolphins have washed ashore dead in 2019 alone. Entire schools of fish have been washing ashore suffocated on a weekly basis, hundreds of thousands of tons. Most of the animals of earth have died within mine and my parents lifetimes. More forest has burned in BC over the past few years than in 25 years before that, and some fires burning in the Arctic Circle today may not go out with the coming winter.

I hope you'll take some time to read the rest of my statement, here:
