Smithtown Children's Foundation 2019 Community Table Relocates

SMITHTOWN, N.Y. - Sept. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- The Smithtown Children's Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2019 Community Table grand tasting event will take place at the Watermill Caterers in Smithtown, NY, on Tuesday, November 5th.

Christine Fitzgerald, Co-Founder, and President of the non-profit foundation stated, "For the past decade the Watermill has been the host venue for Smithtown Children's Foundation annual dinner dance. Their staff and leadership have been by our side in helping to support the Smithtown community. In anticipation of the Watermill's 25th anniversary, we are elated to honor Watermill Caterer's Managing Partner, Joseph Zangri."

Mr. Zangri has led the Watermill staff since opening in 1995. The Watermill is a host venue to many fundraising events that support efforts throughout Long Island. This event will focus on raising funds for families within the Smithtown school district that are in need due to an unforeseen crisis.

"Circumstances regarding the aid we provide are unfortunate. Discretion is always exercised making it difficult to promote the work we do. Smithtown Children's Foundation is an additional layer of support to rely on. It does make a huge difference within the community when there are other people there to care and assist when the going gets rough," comments Fitzgerald.

Tickets purchased in advance are $80/pp and $100/pp at the door.

The event is open to all. Over 30 culinary and spirit businesses will present tastings. Multiple entertainment organizations have committed their services to this year's event as well as some of Long Island's top dining establishments. The raffle prizes are filtering in and include fine jewelry from Markar Jewelers. Photographers have volunteered to capture the food, fun, and relationships made at this event year after year.

The Smithtown Children's Foundation's Community Table has rendered tangible benefits for many participants. SCF's Public Relations Manager, Nancy Vallarella reports, "Each year attendees will comment that they were not aware of a local business until meeting them at the event. This discovery often leads to becoming a regular customer. We even had an attendee meet her future husband at a past event! It's about being there for one another, having a wonderful night out while helping to keep Smithtown a great place to live."
