BostonFIG Fest 2019 Will Showcase Over 100 Indie Games in Allston on Saturday, September 14

ALLSTON, Mass. - Sept. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- BostonFIG Fest, one of North America's largest independent gaming festivals, is getting ready to celebrate its eighth annual event, this Saturday, September 14 at Harvard University's Athletic Complex. BostonFIG Fest is a fun and exciting event for all ages and kids 12 and under are free. Tickets for teens and adults are just $25 in advance ($30 at the door) -- or $20 each when you buy 4 or more online. With over 100 tabletop and video games on display, there's something for everyone!

Many of the games on display are titles attendees won't see anywhere else, and attendees will have the chance to chat with the creators themselves. From dice games, to card games, virtual reality to retro sidescrolling platformer, dozens of genres will be represented at the show. Additionally, family-friendly activities like Boffer Combat, sidewalk chalk, and a live action role-playing game will take place throughout the day.

"We expect this will be our biggest Fest yet, and we can't wait for attendees to get their hands on all the amazing games that will be on display!

At the end of the day, the Figgies Awards will crown winners in multiple categories as judged by BostonFIG's team of expert curators. The ceremony is emceed by Eric Molinsky, host of the Imaginary Worlds science-fiction and fantasy podcast. Eric is also an award winning public radio reporter who has produced stories for The New Yorker Radio Hour, All Things Considered, Morning Edition, 99% Invisible, and more.
