Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers Support Richfield STEM School with $5,000 Donation
By: Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers
A $5,000 check will be presented by Tim Carter, general manager of Richfield Bloomington Honda, in a ceremony at Richfield Middle School on Sept. 11. Special guests attending the ceremony include Steve Unowsky, superintendent of Richfield Public Schools; Craig Holje, chief human resources officer; and Anne Schultz, president of the Richfield Chamber of Commerce.
As a school that advocates the teaching and application of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), the donation will directly support the purchase of STEM tool kits.
"The September, back-to-school season is an important time for all families as we prepare our children for a successful academic year," said Carter. "We want to make sure our children have the resources they need to succeed, and we're excited to help further the STEM curriculum."
The GTCHDA has donated to local schools as part of the "Life is Better Thanks to the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers" campaign since November 2017. This donation will bring the association's total to $95,000. To learn more about GTCHDA's community involvement, please visit the GTCHDA Facebook page and YouTube channel.
