WASHINGTON - Sept. 6, 2019 - PRLog -- D&I Honors "Where Congress Meets Culture, Inclusion and Belonging"

Washington, DC, September 2019, according to the  US Census, by 2024, historically marginalized and underrepresented minorities are projected to make up more than half of America's population.  Unfortunately, our workplaces are not reflective of our evolving society.  Minorities are still locked out and excluded from the decision-making table because many industries and sectors are not adapting to the changing US demographics.  On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, Dr. Dee C. Marshall, a former Wall Street executive, now the CEO of Diverse & Engaged, and the founder of Dimensional Diversity & Inclusion (DD&I) is launching Diversity & Inclusion honors in collaboration with Full Color Future and The National Urban League at the DC Google Headquarters 25 Massachusetts Avenue Northwest  #900 Washington, DC 2000.  This event is Sponsored by Google, JPMorgan Chase and Medium.

At the Diversity & Inclusion Honors, Dr. Dee C. Marshall will recognize diversity leaders, game-changers, corporate leaders across industries and sectors, and community representatives who have moved the needle and made bold moves to advance marginalized and underrepresented people in workplaces and common spaces. This year's theme is: "Diversity is Multidimensional; People of Color cannot be Forgotten." The event will be Honoring: The Honorable Representative Yvette D. Clarke from New York's 9th district, The Honorable Representative Donald M. Payne Jr. from New Jerseys 10th district, as well as Chanelle Hardy, Valerie Irick Rainford, Esi Eggleton Bracey, and Cyrus Mehri. In addition to the honorees, you can also expect to see a variety of VIP attendees: Marc Morial and Dr. Barbara Williams-Skinner are just a few already confirmed.

The Dimensional Diversity & Inclusion Initiative's goal is to close the gap between where minorities are, where minorities need to be in D&I so workplaces and common spaces can be inclusive and appropriately address all dimensions of diversity.  The Call to Action is to politicians, community activists, and business leaders to "DIVE" into Multidimensional Diversity (#Donotforget, be Inclusive #Venture out Pioneers #Equity Vow)

Why September 11?  Dr. Dee C. Marshall was one of the fortunate ones that made it down 33 flights of stairs in One NY Plaza.  While her journey that day was with a diverse group of employees, before that day, she remembered being the only African American in her division of one of the top financial services firms. When she found herself rushing down the stairs and first hand witnessing the fall of the Twin Towers, fair, death, and people frantically, it was that moment she knew she had to change her life, no more living the status quo, average and unfulfilled life.  9/11 changed her life to what she is today.
