Brighton-based educator recognised as industry top performer

ST LEONARDS, Australia - Sept. 5, 2019 - PRLog -- A Brighton-based educator has just been recognised in a prestigious list of the industry's top professionals.

Brighton Grammar School's Dr Ray Swann has been included in The Educator's fourth annual Hot List report, sponsored by the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, spotlighting the 50 individuals deemed as the movers and shakers of Australian K-12 education.

As Deputy Headmaster and Head of the Crowther Centre, Swann has embarked on a generational change program at Brighton Grammar School, using his background and PhD in medical education to inform measurable programs. Swann is helping to transform the school from a place of learning to a centre of community support and a place of exchange to develop healthy and balanced social, emotional, physical, and intellectual habits for students, parents, and teachers. Swann was instrumental in his work on the MoU that led to Bio-Dash, a world class program being funded and implemented in partnership with Melbourne University's Centre for Positive Psychology, in the application of mindfulness to improve wellbeing outcomes for students.
