The Shoestring, self-drive, tour of Costa Rica is aimed to demonstrate some of the country's highlights without breaking the bank! Begin in San Jose to rest before collecting a car and heading to the Arenal Volcano area. Spend three nights relaxing at your hotel, heading out on a canopy tour and adding extra activities if you so wish. Follow this with two nights in the cloud forest of Monteverde, for wildlife and bird spotting. Finally enjoy three nights' R&R on the beach at Manuel Antonio on the Pacific Coast, with optional activities including trekking through the National Park or trying your hand at surfing!

An itinerary designed for the whole family which includes Costa Rica's highlights plus some adrenaline seeking activities thrown in! Begin by exploring the waterways of Tortuguero searching for wildlife including the mysterious caiman. From here, raft into a jungle lodge before heading to the Caribbean to try your hand at surfing. A few days at Arenal Volcano include canyoning and zip lining before ending in the very south in the jungles of the Osa Peninsula. Here you stay in a beautiful hotel where you can either relax or fill your days with a whole host of adventures from dolphin watching, trekking, horse riding and kayaking.

This classic tour of Costa Rica focuses on the diverse landscapes this varied and beautiful country has. You start by exploring the waterways of Tortuguero which can only be accessed by boat searching for caimans. From here zip-line through the tree canopies with views of the Arenal Volcano before Quetzal searching in the cloud forest of Monteverde. Four nights are spent on the golden sands of Nosara, known to have some of the best beaches and surf in the world before finishing your tour staying at a coffee plantation.
