Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Nets, Knicks, Rangers, Devils and Islanders Support 5th Annual Bronx Zoo Walk to Cure Dystonia
BRONX, N.Y. - Sept. 2, 2019 - PRLog -- The Yankees, Mets, Giants, Nets, Knicks, Rangers, Devils and Islanders provide game tickets and memorabilia for the 5th Annual Bronx Zoo Walk raffle on Sept. 8.
Attendees of the Zoo Walk can enter for chance to win four tickets to Yankees, Mets or Devils games, two tickets to a Nets game, a Giants football signed by Saquon Barkley, a Yankees baseball signed by former Manager Joe Girardi, an authentic Masahiro Tanaka Yankees jersey, a Mets baseball signed by Pete Alonzo, an official Nets basketball signed by the team, a New York Knicks jersey autographed by Dennis Smith Jr., and more.
What: The Dystonia Bronx Zoo Walk is a celebration of dystonia awareness and raises funds for medical research. In addition to the sports raffle, the Zoo Walk will feature face painting, caricatoons, refreshments, and event t-shirts. Attendees include people living with dystonia and their families. People do not have to do a formal walk, but are welcome to spend the day in the zoo and attend festivities centered on raising funds and awareness for dystonia. Family-
Dystonia is characterized by persistent or intermittent muscle contractions causing abnormal, often repetitive, movements, postures, or both. The movements are usually patterned and twisting, and may resemble a tremor. There are multiple forms of dystonia, and dozens of diseases and conditions may include dystonia as a symptom. No fewer than 300,000 people are affected in the United States and Canada alone.
