Senior Counsel Maria Tassou joins Pallett Valo to enhance Litigation & Employment practices

TORONTO - Sept. 3, 2019 - PRLog -- Pallett Valo LLP, the largest law firm in Peel Region, is pleased to welcome Maria Tassou as Senior Counsel, and as a member of both the Commercial Litigation and Employment & Labour Practice Groups. Her practice focuses on Administrative Law, Workplace Investigations, Management Training and Privacy Law. Maria will also serve as Privacy Officer for the firm.

Maria articled and was a lawyer at Pallett Valo LLP from 1996-2007, before joining the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (Ministry of the Attorney General) as a board member/adjudicator in 2007. In 2009 she was appointed Vice-Chair of the Board and in 2014 she became the Chair of the Board. Maria has also been appointed Vice-Chair to several other administrative tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, the Landlord Tenant Board and the Social Benefits Tribunal.

Maria's extensive experience enhances Pallett Valo's expanding range of services, including Adjudication, Tribunals, Administrative and ancillary practices related to Employment Law, further enhancing the firm's capabilities as a regional legal powerhouse.
