Black Filmmakers Create Resources For Black Women's Equal Pay Day

OAKLAND, Calif. - Aug. 26, 2019 - PRLog -- On August 22 advocates acknowledged Black Women's Equal Pay Day. This is the approximate day a Black woman must work into the new year to make what white non-Hispanic man made at the end of the previous year. Although there were many social media campaigns, there was a lack of major media coverage and little to no discussion around the solutions.

After major disappointment, the founders of HNTT Productions took matters into their own hands and launched their ebook entitled "When They Go Low, You Go High: How To Negotiate Your Salary". The ebook provides readers with the direct tactics and strategy on how to request their proper wage and benefit package.

"As a black owned all female production company we were eager to see how Black Women's Equal Pay Day would be observed. To our surprise there wasn't much coverage in our city or the surrounding areas. How are we supposed to overcome the issue if we do not hold corporations accountable to pay women of color their proper wage or educate women of color on how to request their fair wage? We had to take matters into our own hands, and we will continue to use our platform to provide additional resources all year around to ensure that Black Women's Equal Pay Day becomes a day of accountability and education" - Founders of HNTT  Productions

The ebook is available for FREE on the production company's website www.hnttproductions.com. Women can access this resource online via a computer or their mobile device.
