Key Findings • The #1 city for employment growth was Midland, TX, where the number of jobs grew from 86,300 to 111,300, for a total growth of 29% over the last three years. Employment growth in Midland was driven primarily by the energy industry, augmented by the distribution and logistics industry. • The leading state for job growth was Utah, which added 139,900 jobs over the study period, for a percentage gain of 9.9%. Some of the primary industries driving the growth in Utah include Leisure and Hospitality, Education, Health Services, and Logistics. • Nationally, the country added 6.7 million jobs over the three year study period, ending July 2019 with 151 million jobs.
