KiKi Shepard's The KIS Foundation, Inc. with CIT Bank presents 2019 Celebrity Golf Classic for Sickle Cell Disease Awareness

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Aug. 23, 2019 - PRLog -- Taking advantage of the perfect Fall weather Southern California has to offer and the majestic views of the Porter Valley Country Club, The KIS Foundation, Inc. with Title Sponsor CIT Bank presents its 2019 Celebrity Golf Classic to raise awareness, advocacy and education about Sickle Cell Disease, and its prevention and treatment.

On Monday, October 21, 2019, nestled beneath the verdant hills of the Santa Susana Mountains, the exclusive Porter Valley Country Club, located at 19216 Singing Hills Drive, Northridge, CA 91326, will be home to this fundraising event where players will enjoy 18 holes of golf.  Registration begins at 9:00 AM, followed by a Continental Breakfast and Putting Contest, with a shotgun start at 11:00 AM. Festivities will continue with lunch served "at turn," a reception at 5:00 PM and round out with dinner, a silent and live auctions, plus a VIP award ceremony starting at 5:30 PM with renowned comedian Chris Spencer as MC.

Through its services and programs, such as The Crisis Care Package Program (CCPP) - a Response-Aid Kit (Backpack) and preventative resource designed to assist SCD patients before, during and after a Sickle Cell Crisis, and The Dorothy H. Shepard Scholarship Fund, the KIS Foundation, Inc. seeks to improve the social health and quality of life and make a transformative impact on the core beliefs of the children and families of the SCD community.
