How Will Young Indians Like to Move? Mobility Solutions for Young Aspirational India

GURGAON, India - Aug. 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Mobility in Smart Cities – young India's aspirations was released in 2^nd August'19 in Noida, India. Published by Zorba Books. It is the culmination of one year of inter-university research between Amity University, Noida and Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne.

The Government of India initiated a programme of urban renewal and reformation, known as the Smart Cities Mission. This programme aims to create increased opportunities for the citizens of India. It helps to fulfill the aspirations of city-dwellers in terms of institutional, physical, social and economic infrastructure. In keeping with the government's mandate, the authors of this study have attempted to record and analyse the aspirations of citizens from four cities. To analyse the mobility needs of the Indian youth in — Delhi, Gururgam, Noida, and Lucknow—and the possible improvements which can be made to enable these cities to be transformed into smart cities. The study takes into consideration various factors such as education, gender, and economic status to map out deficiencies in the current system. It also highlights areas of concern that need to be addressed by the concerned authorities. The study is a well-timed analysis of the hopes of mobility needs of the Indian youth

This study is joint research undertaken by Amity University under the guidance of Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. The criteria laid down to conduct the research and analyze the finding meet international norms. The study that focuses on mobility needs for the Millenials, youth, young people in India was researched across Indian metros and the findings presented in this book.
