Executive Director Search Announced

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Aug. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- The Women's Economic Development Council Foundation (WEDC F) announces the retirement of its Executive Director, Beth Brooks, as of December 31, 2019, so she can spend more time with family and enjoy more personal opportunities.

Beth is passionate about the Huntsville community and the many ways its citizens serve each other.  She moved here from the Southwest 36 years ago. Beth was a charter member of the WEDC. She joined the WEDC Foundation board of directors in 2013, served in continuously more responsible volunteer leadership roles through board president and was ultimately hired as the Executive Director in January 2016.

The WEDC Foundation is a non-profit organization formed in 1998 to empower women in our community to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence by providing mentors, professional networking, development programs and flexible financial assistance.

The WEDC Foundation will conduct a competitive search for a successor to Beth and anticipates having an Executive Director in place by early 2020.
