Vernita Hill: The Caramel Beauty

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Aug. 15, 2019 - PRLog -- Mrs. Vernita Hill with her warm human touch to all she met while spreading her love over all ages, especially the youth was so cool. She was firm enough to love and tell the truth regardless if it brought one to tears. This lady was steadfast and dependable if one ever needed her.  She was just right!  When one spreads caramel over the layers of cake, it has to be just the right temperature—warm enough to be pourable, but cool enough that, when you work that caramel around the cake with an icing spatula it sets in place. Vernita Hill was that caramel, because she was just right! Fear not, because she left what was required. Namely, the right recipe with the right instructions so you know that you're doing the right thing. There are many times when it is hard to know whether we are doing the right thing. In order to figure out, bring out that recipe of life which is the Holy Bible.  Vernita could sing until she preheated  the church service to 350°F while the Holy Spirit heated the children of God with transformative actions of compassion; ready to serve others. Mrs. Hill lived the words of her song that she shared: " All of my help cometh from the Lord." Her children will be ok because they were brought up on slices of her spiritual caramel cake which was pure sugar of love. God's word is sweet and good for the soul. Psalm 119:103
How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Ironically, Mrs. Vernita Hill could bake a caramel cake that had a light, unusual, luscious, perfect texture which melts in the mouth. Yes, she made the best caramel cake in the USA, and that's all one can say.  Mrs. Hill will never be forgotten and she will always live in our hearts forever.   Her life will forever be remembered and cherished by her husband of 67 years—Tommy W. Hill; one daughter—Laritha Hill Sweet (Chester); and two sons—Marvin L. Hill (Sharon) and Cedric R. Hill (Monica). Two daughters—Warrie Hill Smith (Andrew) and Settlestein Hill Brown (Odell) preceded her in death.
