By: Church of Scientology The Scientology Information Center located in Downtown Clearwater resides in the Historic Clearwater building at 500 Cleveland Street. Its 101-year-old facility is one of the oldest buildings in the area restored in 1995. The Center is a facility where curious guests can learn about the life and legacy of Mr. L. Ron Hubbard, the social betterment and humanitarian programs sponsored by the Church of Scientology, Scientology's religious principles as well as the multitude of Churches spread across 6 continents. The first display is dedicated to L. Ron Hubbard, the Founder of the Scientology Religion and his beginnings, but it does not stop there. It also covers things such as: · Which successful race car driver was once Mr. Hubbard's mechanic? · Which struggling writer from the 60's became a best selling author after following writing advice from L. Ron Hubbard? · What world-renowned Science-Fiction illustrator referred to L. Ron Hubbard as a "very important influence" in his life? · How did L. Ron Hubbard "pay-forward" "It's almost unimaginable all the things that Mr. Hubbard has done in his life. He believed in living life to the fullest, learning, and helping others," said Ms. Amber Skjelset, Manager of the Scientology Information Center. "These short video vignettes provide fascinating information and insight into many facets of his life." The Center is open daily from 10am-10pm. The Scientology Information Center: The Scientology Information Center, located in the century-old Clearwater Building in downtown Clearwater, opened on July 11, 2015 and currently houses a gallery of audiovisual displays with some 400 videos. The Center offers tours to the broad public and civic leaders; holds concerts, theatrical performances and receptions for the community; and opens up the use of its conference room to social, civic and non-profit groups.
