Nine Million Sustainable Jobs To Be Created In South Africa

Lamergyre Alloys Limited (LAL), a South African registered company, will construct a 6.5 Million tonne per annum Alloy and Stainless Steel manufacturing plant in the COEGA Special Economic Zone in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa.
PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa - Aug. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- The Lamergyre Alloys Limited development will be a fully vertically and horizontally integrated enterprise, incorporating raw material supply, utilities supply, smelting, rolling mills and a downstream finished and semi-finished products Stainless Steel Manufacturing Hub.

Over the planned life of the business (30/50 years) the raw material supply cost, manufacturing processes and technology being used, will ensure that the cost of production will be competitive and in the lowest cost quartile in the industry.

In line with the norms and standards used to calculate the effect on local job security and new jobs relative to sustainability, including the South African Stainless Steel development Association (SASSDA) stated norms, the enterprise will, when in full operation, generate some nine million jobs in South Africa.

LAL will train all of its personnel to global Alloy and Stainless Steel industry standards, in its own facilities to ensure the business have fully qualified and motivated management and workforce to drive the company's future growth.

The sale of LAL Stainless Steel, Semis and Finished products based on current global market norms will be in the order of USD$ 36 Billion Per Annum.

Based on a known and projected 5/6% per annum global growth rate in our potential market, LAL will focus its sales on low hanging opportunities in South Africa, through South African Trade agreements with BRICS economies and access through the next major growth market (Africa) in line with recently announced free trade agreements.

Throughout the development of the business any impact on the global and local environment will be considered and negated as far as possible by the use of advanced environmentally protective technology and manufacturing processes. To mitigate potential pollution challenges, the process will embody the Circular Economy approach to resource process, consumption and management and through reprocessing minimise or obviate pollution.
