AUSTIN, Texas - Aug. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- Prism (www.prism.fm), the software company dedicated to simplifying the complex process of booking and managing live music events, today announced the latest addition to its team with Tom Ewald as Chief Revenue Officer, reporting to Prism CEO Matt Ford. Prism has experienced amazing growth in the past year among independent venues and promoters, and in this newly created position Mr. Ewald will be focused on reaching the top of the market through his 20+ years of relationships.

In just one year, Prism's software has been adopted by over 100 promoters and 500 venues around the globe, including Disco Donnie Presents & React Presents (US), Brooklyn Bowl (NY), Ad Hoc (NY), PopGun Presents (NY), MOKB Presents (IL), Noise Pop (https://www.noisepop.com/) (SF), McMenamin's (https://www.mcmenamins.com/to-do/live-music-events) (OR), Laramir Lounge (https://www.larimerlounge.com/) (CO); Marathon Music (https://www.marathonmusicworks.com/) (TN); White Oak (https://www.whiteoakmusichall.com/) (TX)  and in its hometown of Austin, TX,  the live music capital of the world, The Paramount Theatre (http://www.austintheatre.org/), Antone's (https://www.antonesnightclub.com/), Come and Take It Productions (https://www.comeandtakeitproductions.com/), The Parish (https://www.theparishaustin.com/), Empire Control Room and Garage (http://empireatx.com), and many more.

"For the thousands of independent promoters and venues in the US, having a single source of truth and real-time data at their fingertips is critical for them to be more organized, efficient and profitable," said Stephen Sternschein, Prism Co-Founder, and Managing Partner of Austin-based promoter Heard Presents. "It is increasingly important that Prism is actively engaging with this community, and so I'm thrilled to have Tom join our team and to benefit from his experience and the trust that he's earned."

Prism recently secured $2.2 million from angel investors including Kip McClanahan, founder of Pershing and long-time Austin entrepreneur; Mario Fighali, chief operating officer and co-founder at Sparefoot; Bill Babel, co-founder of Capital Factory; and Jay Jensen, President of Clasen Quality Coatings.

"We currently have a sales team that's doing a fantastic job led by our founding team, but Tom is the G.O.A.T. for selling to our industry," said Matt Ford, Prism CEO. "I've personally had the pleasure to work with Tom through Prism's continued partnership with Eventbrite, and there is no one more aligned with our company's mission."

Tom has long been at the forefront of working with promoters and venues, from 14 years as Director of Entertainment Sales with Ticketweb and Ticketmaster, to joining Ticketfly in 2009 when it was five people up through and including its acquisition by Eventbrite in 2017. In fact, Tom will consult with Eventbrite across the next few months to ensure a smooth landing for clients continuing to move from Ticketfly to the Eventbrite platform. Tom began working in ticketing straight out of college, holds an MBA from Wayne State University, and will be based in Chicago.

"Empowering independent promoters and venues has been the common thread through all my work in music, and so I'm thrilled to be joining a company like Prism that shares this core purpose," said Tom Ewald. "Prism is simplifying and streamlining really difficult processes for the independent community, and I can't wait to get started on helping promoters and venues gain access to their data to make better and faster decisions."
