Memphis-Based Investment Management Firm Celebrates Growth Amidst 10th Anniversary

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Aug. 9, 2019 - PRLog -- Preserver Partners, LLC, an investment management firm in Memphis, celebrated their 10^th anniversary on July 28. President and Chief Investment Officer Floyd Tyler, Ph.D., CFA, began the firm in 2009 with $1 million in investment capital to create an alternative to risky hedge funds and illiquid fund-of-funds. The firm has grown to over $140 million in assets under management for local and national clients including public and private retirement funds, corporations, family offices, foundations and individuals.

"Our staff of five is a small team but our ability to generate attractive, risk-adjusted returns and income for clients stems from our diverse opportunistic income portfolios and unique research platform," said Tyler. "We are proud of where we are and our accomplishments throughout the last 10 years, and we are excited about where the firm is headed and what we will be able to do for our clients."

In 2016, Preserver launched its first mutual fund, Preserver Alternative Opportunities Fund (PAOIX). With only a $2,000 initial investment minimum, the mutual fund is a vehicle for more people to have an opportunity to invest in a diverse strategy through one investment. The mutual fund currently has over $21 million in assets with approximately 400 investors. Preserver Partners is one of only four African American-owned mutual fund companies in the nation.

Preserver will soon have a prominent face in the Memphis community with the purchase of a historic, triangular-shaped building on the corner of Madison and South Lauderdale St. in the Edge District, with plans to redevelop and make it home in Spring, 2020.
