Malar Pad Lift
The Malar Pad Lift, also described as the "endoscopic malar pad lift" is usually done in conjunction with a deep plane face lift. Dr. Freeman explains this technique in detail so that, to other surgeons, it is not difficult to understand or implement. He developed this technique and teaches other surgeons how to do this technique successfully through his journal publications, book publications, and public speaking engagements.
SOOF Lift Blepharoplasty
The other ground breaking technique developed by Dr. Sean Freeman is the SOOF Lift Blepharoplasty. This concept helps manage the suborbicularis oculi fat pad (SOOF) during a lower eyelid surgery, when the hollowness of the upper cheek under the lid becomes a significant cosmetic concern and adds to the aging of the face. Other methods, including injecting fillers and fat injections have been less than successful, and not as long lasting as the SOOF lift and only mask the problem of the lower lid and upper cheek. This approach is done via a transconjunctival approach.
Dr. Freeman is the found of the Center for Facial Plastic and Laser Surgery in the Ballantyne area.
