According to the lawsuit, which was filed with the Superior Court of the State of California in Ventura County earlier this month, Mr. Sloan suffered serious and painful injuries at the hands of negligent staff during his stay at Glenwood Care Center.

Citing an incident where a staff physical therapist recommended the MegaPulse II Short Wave Diathermy heating device to ease Mr. Sloan's muscle pain, the filing alleges that the physical therapist did not take his lower body injuries into proper consideration. As a result, Mr. Sloan suffered from second- and third-degree burns, due to overexposure to the MegaPulse II Short Wave.

To make matters worse, the Glenwood Care Center administrator refused to admit any responsibility for these serious injuries, and withheld appropriate wound care from Mr. Sloan. This act of negligence has severely impacted his health and caused significant pain and suffering.
