Told in similar rhyme and cadence to the original, this poem and its illustrations will bring an entirely new tradition to your home for Christmas. This version is meant to enhance and modernize the previous telling, while it enthralls and teaches the meaning behind the blessed holiday. Moore writing in numerous genres also took "Finalist" award honors in the Suspense-thriller category. His nail-biting book, Revenge of the Birds, which is the new sequel to his already popular Return of the Birds, won this distinction. Moore received the five awards in just the last two years. Earlier this year he won the Purple Dragonfly Award from Story Monsters Ink for his children's book, Sarah Buttons, Master Doll Maker. Moore has won winner and finalist awards in four different literary genres including children's books (age 3-6), young-adult, holiday reads, and suspense. In addition to becoming the next Christmastime reading tradition, The Christmas Eve Journey will soon be broadcast over radio stations across the country. Moore, who is a professional Santa when he is not writing, narrated the book as Santa Claus for broadcast. The new CD to accompany the book will be available the beginning of September from The North Pole Press.
