Business Consultant, Host and Marketing Specialist Sharifah Hardie announces candidacy for Long Beach 6th District.

Sharifah Hardie, also known as Ask Sharifah, is looking to make an entry into local politics. She announced over the weekend that she's running for the 6th district seat on the Long Beach City Council.
"I have so much love for my city. I want to help make changes now for a better tomorrow. I want to be the change that I want to see in Long Beach. What we need on the city council are good people with common sense, respect for others, respect for the democratic process and a positive vision for the future," Ms. Hardie said. "Along with a tireless work ethic, I can bring these qualities to the council table."
Her priorities, she said, are restoring well-functioning local government, creating jobs, eliminating homelessness, strengthening community, ensuring a healthy environment and growing a strong, diverse local economy.
"The city really wants a change and we have the possibility of getting some wonderful individuals onto our council to move forward an agenda that is really going to bring a lot of good to our city, get it ready for the growth and make it liveable, sustainable and full of opportunities,"
With her intuitive drive, Hardie can only impel the city forward to innovative success. Ms. Hardie also served a key role as Business Consultant, and Director of Marketing at Punch TV Studios. As such, she was able to assist the company to expand its reach, its national exposure and assist the company to raise millions of dollars in its Initial Public Offering (IPO).
