-- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida has been chosen the 2019 gold winners for "Best Non-Profit" and "Best Thrift Store" by New-Press readers in Southwest Florida. Goodwill SWFL is a past recipient of the Best Non-Profit" award, but this year they were recognized in both categories.
Goodwill SWFL is a nonprofit organization committed to serving people with disabilities and disadvantages, and provides programs and services to support people and families in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. In 2018, nearly 25,000 unduplicated individuals were served in those counties. Goodwill's mission of providing life-changing opportunities toward independence for individuals with barriers continues. This year, Goodwill SWFL has added new Digital Training services, expanded their full-day training program for adults with disabilities (Pathways to Opportunity)
, and increased family strengthening supports. These are just a few of the many free services offered by Goodwill in the Southwest Florida area.
