PHOENIX - Aug. 7, 2019 - PRLog -- Fennemore Craig, a leading law firm in the Mountain West, announced that Margo Chernysheva, a director and the chair of the Immigration Law practice , has been issued a Certificate of Specialization in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California.

A California "certified specialist" is an attorney who holds a current certificate as a specialist issued by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. The California program was the first of its kind in the U.S. and has served as a model for other state programs for certifying legal specialists nationwide.
Attorneys who have been issued a certificate of specialization have gone beyond the standard licensing requirements by completing a rigorous program that includes:
· Passing a written examination in the legal specialty area
· Practicing law continuously for at least five years, spending at least 25 percent of the time given to occupational endeavors practicing in the specialty area
· Completing of continuing education in the specialty area greater than that required of general licensees of the bar
· Demonstrating of a broad-based and comprehensive experience in the specialty area based on completion of a variety of matters in the specialty area
· Favorable evaluations by other attorneys and judges familiar with the attorney's work in the specialty area of law
Margo is a seasoned immigration attorney who is committed to helping clients thrive as they apply for family, work and investor visas, permanent residency, and U.S. citizenship through naturalization. She has a breadth of experience, including business immigration, investor visa, immigration court, waivers of inadmissibility, fiancée visas, and family-sponsored immigration.
Margo is an active chapter member of the AILA in California, Nevada and Washington DC having served as the AILA Nevada Chapter Chair (2018), National New Member Division Steering Committee Member (2017), and currently National Conference Planning Committee Member. Margo received a B.A., summa cum laude, from Quinnipiac University and a J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law.
