Parkdale Center for Professionals welcomes Dr. Terry Harman as their new Program Director

CHESTERTON, Ind. - July 25, 2019 - PRLog -- Parkdale Center for Professionals is proud to announce and welcome Dr. Terry Harman as their new Program Director.

"I'm excited to embark on this new chapter in my career," said Harman. "My passion is serving people who struggle with addictions, and being able to do it in this capacity is extremely rewarding and purposeful work."

Dr. Harman entered the counseling field in 1981. Since that time, he has served adolescents and adults in a variety of government, for profit as well as not-for-profit settings, including directing the employee assistance programs for the steel industry, state operated mental health facilities, maximum security prisons, community corrections, inpatient psychiatric, residential substance abuse units, intensive outpatient and outpatient substance abuse programs.

Harman started working for Parkdale in June of 2018 in a different capacity. He served as the Program Director for a state contract that provides monitoring services for impaired medical professionals. During the first year, approximately 700 professionals were served. When the opening came out for a Parkdale Center Program Director, it was a natural progression.

Dr. Harman is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Indiana.
