Plus-size Model Ashley Alexiss Makes History In Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show

BOSTON - July 24, 2019 - PRLog -- Model Ashley Alexiss, 28, has made history by becoming the first petite, plus-size model to walk in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show during Miami Swim week. This year's Sports Illustrated Swim Search took place in Miami, Florida; after thousands of hopeful applicants, Alexiss was chosen as one of the "Sweet 17" to walk as a Sports Illustrated model during the #SISwimSearch runway show. During the live show, Alexiss sported one of her very own bikinis created by her swimwear brand, "Alexiss Swimwear".

Measuring in at just five feet, three inches tall, Ashley Alexiss has defeated the odds by becoming the first "short" curvy model to be featured as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Alexiss has been modeling professionally for ten years without the need of an agency or manager. Always told, "you're too short for runway," and, "you can't be short and fat and expected to model." Ashley shared a caption on social media to her 7 million followers, after walking the runway show, while reflecting on past criticism, "I'm doing this for me. I know I was meant for this.
