KOLKATA, India - July 20, 2019 - PRLog -- On Friday, 16th March 2018, Kolkata witnessed the preview of a first of its kind show called VIVA, an initiative by Calcutta Heritage Collective, where over 35 photographs, taken from across the world and Kolkata in journeys which have taken years, reveals the marvels created by the human hand. The exhibited photographs are a reminder that the art of great architectural value is eternal and timeless if we care to preserve and restore it.

The inauguration of VIVA was graced by the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal SHRI KESHARI NATH TRIPATHI, and Calcutta Heritage Collective Cause Ambassadors – Smt. Usha Uthup, Shri Bickram Ghosh, Shri Shuvaprasanna Bhattacharya, Shri Jawhar Sarkar along with Calcutta Heritage Collective Members - Mukul Agarwal & Ayan Chattopadhyay (Founders), Rajiv Soni, Sandip Nowlakha, Manish Chakravarti, Swarup Dutta, Iftekhar Ahsan, Paramita Saha, Anthony Khatchaturian, Hemant Bangur, Deepanjan Gosh, Anjum Katyal, Munish Jhajharia and others.

VIVA, an exhibition of over 35 photographs taken by Kounteya Sinha, asserts the idea that antiquities of great architectural value aren't mere objects that need to perish as they age but actually stoic sentries silently watching, weaving it's magic through centuries, a gigantic repository of human life and death and everything in between.
