(Delray Beach, FL – July 17, 2019) - BélO has been hailed as Haiti's musical ambassador to the world. On July 31st at Arts Garage in Delray Beach, BélO will perform a mixture of Jazz, Worldbeat, Rock Reggae and Afro-Haitian traditional rhythms known as "Ragganga". BélO's first album Lakou trankil (Quiet Streets) is treasured by Haitians because the songs explain and reflect the problems the country faces. Bélo is popular in Europe and Africa where he won the Discovery RFI Prime in April 2006. The official CD release will take place that evening. Arts Garage is excited about this most recent collaboration with the Haitian American Chamber as it allows us an opportunity to better serve the Haitian community here in Delray. The Haitian culture is magical in its ability to passionately represent its history through music and art. Arts Garage wants to help celebrate just that. Marjorie Waldo, President & CEO of Arts Garage Djenane StFleur Gourgue, Vice President, Haitian American Chamber of Commerce continues, "We know that the arts can be a major economic force. Let's value its worth by focusing on how it impacts the communities in which we live and work. To my artists and members I often say, 'It's not only good for your business, it IS also good business when artists grow with the process - branding, marketing and promoting like other businesses'." Tickets are $25 and available through the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce. Call 954-638-8321 or contact haamchamber@ About Arts Garage is a vital part of South Florida's arts and music scene.
