Bridge between the Israeli political and Haredi rabbinical realm - Rabbi Eliyahu Merav issues video statement following Israel Beit Din ruling
JERUSALEM - July 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Well-known Israeli rabbi, Eliyahu Merav has issued a video statement of support regarding Rabbi Berland.  Shuvu Banim also is announcing a three-week Amazon Kindle special for the One in a Generation two-book series, telling Rabbi Berland's life story from birth to April 2019.

Rabbi Merav served in an elite unit of the Israeli Air Force during the Yom Kippur War. He later became the first mayor of the Israeli town Emanuel helping to personally build the town from the ground up. Recently he was a speaker at the 2019 Israel Memorial Day event with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin, and other political figures in attendance.

Here is a link to the video statement from Rabbi Merav with the text of the statement also below -

"I have had the privilege to meet and study with some of Israel's great tzaddikim including Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri and others. Additionally, I served as the personal assistant of the Baba Sali. I have personally known Rabbi Berland for decades and he has made major contributions to the Jewish people in Israel and around the world," said Rabbi Eliyahu Merav. "He was influential in my spiritual development and has always been there for my family during good times and tough times. I have stayed in close contact with Rabbi Berland and based on my assessment of the situation, I voice my full support of his innocence. It is encouraging to see three of the top Rabbinal Judges protecting the Nation from the serious chillul HaShem desecration of G-d's name of slandering Rabbi Berland."

Rabbi Merav is available for interview.

Rav Merav's statement comes following a ruling from the Badatz Beit Din in Israel prohibiting improper speech or writing about Rabbi Berland. The ruling was also posted on multiple Jewish media sites.

The ruling can be read in Hebrew here –

The One in a Generation book website is and the $0.99 discount ends of August 10th at the conclusion of the Three Weeks and 9th of Av. Book authors YD Bergman and Rivka Levy are available for interview upon request.

"As an investigative journalist and communications expert that worked for Prime Minister Tony Blair's government and other top UK organizations, I could see that the media treatment during and after the investigation was severely lacking. As we approach the Three Weeks, I encourage Jews around the world to learn the truth of what really happened, and maybe this can in someway rectify some of the awful sinat hinam that's been levelled at Rabbi Berland and his community," said Rivka Levy, Book Author.

"The Temple and the exile happened largely in part due to sinat hinam. We made a real effort in this book is to give Jews and non-Jews the truth of what happened with Rabbi Berland. We are talking about a man that was born before the State of Israel was even created and has given his entire life to serve the Jewish people. It's awful that Rabbi Berland should have received this type of treatment at the hand of other Jews, and it's a shame that so many people fell for this deception. However, deception always has its end, and may it begin with this statement from the Badatz Bein Din," said YD Bergman, Book Author
