NEW DELHI - July 19, 2019 - PRLog -- With sluggish sales and a market share not to be proud of, Nissan has launched the all-new Kicks to rekindle their hopes in the Indian market. Is it good enough to take on the Creta? Find out below.

New Delhi, India – 19 July, 2019

Not having their product portfolio updated for a while, the French automaker has devised a plan to launch the all-new Kicks in the Indian market to cover for the lost ground. Originally showcased as a concept in 2014, the Nissan Kicks was showcased at the 2016 Summer Olympics show. At the time of its launch, the Kicks replaced the veteran Juke in the French automaker's line-up. Come 2019, and Nissan has officially launched the Kicks in India. Here's our Nissan Kicks review.

At the heart of the matter, the Kicks comes with an option of two engines – a 1.5-litre H4K petrol and the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre K9K diesel. In our Kicks review, we bagged the keys to the latter. The oil-burner is capable of churning out 108bhp and 240Nm of torque. Right from the get-go, there is a bit of turbo lag before the tacho needle hits the 1,800rpm mark. Now, once you get the turbo spooling, there's adequate thrust to fool around with. In fact, if you time it right, the Diesel Kicks makes for a reasonably fun car to drive. Out on twisties, the Kicks attacks the corners with humane confidence. But for the most part, the steering lacks the communication you would expect from a hydraulic-assist unit. As far as the ride quality is concerned, the Kicks dismisses undulations and bumps fantastically well and it's only when you tackle some wavy roads the suspension filters in some vertical movement inside the cabin. Truth be told, the Nissan Kicks is an amazing product. Despite the fact that its poor ergonomics and soggy steering hamper the driving experience, the rich interior and the edgy design are its most prominent assets.
