BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - July 18, 2019 - PRLog -- Holiday prices to Sumatra are set to drop thanks to the new Garuda Indonesia flight to Bali which goes via Medan (in Sumatra).

Comments Robin Ball, Director of Bamboo Travel: "This new non-stop service to Sumatra means that the journey time to Medan is reduced from 15 to 12 hours, and there will be a cost saving to clients of around £150 per person.

"What's more the rainforests of Bukit Lawang are just three hours' drive from Medan airport, which now makes Sumatra the most accessible place to see orang-utans in the wild."

Bamboo Travel offers a choice of 12 private tours to Indonesia (though all trip can be tailor made) including the 15-day Adventures in Sumatra (https://www.bambootravel.co.uk/tours/adventures-in-sumatra).

Highlights include exploring the Minangkabau heartland of Bukittinggi, the Ngarai Sianok Canyon, Gunung Leuser National Park, the wild orang-utans at Bukit Lawang and relaxing at Lake Toba.

The holiday now costs from £2595 pp (two sharing), a saving of £155 pp thanks to the new Garuda flight.

This includes flights, all land transportation on a private basis, 13 nights' B&B, activities/sightseeing as per the itinerary, and English-speaking guides.
