COSTA MESA, Calif. - July 16, 2019 - PRLog -- Senior Professor Ron Sanchez, a Seventh Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo Karate, will present the second of three seminar sessions on Ed Parker Kenpo at the 20th Anniversary Masters Hall of Fame celebration on Saturday, July 27, at the Hilton Orange County Costa Mesa. His presentation, at 12:30 p.m., will follow the presentation by Senior Master Bob White.

Sanchez is a veteran of more than 30 years with the Los Angeles Police Department, rising to the rank of Captain. During his time on the force, he worked in a variety of divisions including homicide, narcotics, and training, finishing as Captain of the Hollywood Division. His martial arts studies began in 1971, and in 1973 he began training in American Kenpo with Senior Master White. He competed for many years in the Long Beach International Karate tournament and was on the first place Senior Black Belt Champion Team in 1997. In addition to Kenpo, Sanchez has studied Aiki-Jiu-Jitsu, Machado Jiu-Jitsu, and TAI Karate.

"Ron Sanchez has an impressive background not only in the martial arts but in training as well," says Masters Hall of Fame Chairman Dr. Daniel Hect. "His seminars have ranged from Urban Survival to Lethal Confrontations and Combat Mindset. He has also devoted considerable time to working with youth in South-Central Los Angeles and Hollywood. It is a pleasure to have him presenting in our seminar series."

The Masters Seminars are free to Masters guests and inductees. However, donations will be accepted on behalf of the Royal Family Kids Camp, an organization dedicated to supporting foster children.

"The Masters Hall of Fame is proud to be able to offer these amazing martial arts seminars with some of the legends in our community," says Dr. Hect. "These great leaders are giving of their time to share their knowledge and experience with our attendees and inductees. This is just another example of the quality of people in the organization."

The Masters Hall of Fame was founded in 1999 and is recognized as the premier Martial Arts event on the West Coast. The association recognizes exceptional Martial Arts Leaders and Legends through induction into the Masters Hall of Fame. Honorees are chosen for their dedication to the martial arts and their work in the community, as well as their successes.
