Harmful Algal Blooms Discussed in New Online Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational production about an important environmental, health and safety (EHS) topic.
"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that HABs are a major environmental problem in all 50 states and warns that algal blooms can be toxic," said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates and the IAQ Video Network. "HABs occur in both fresh and marine waters and the toxins produced by some forms of algae can be poisonous to humans, pets and wildlife. We hope this new video helps to shed some light on the causes and importance of preventing HABs whenever possible, especially when they are linked to manmade nutrient pollution."
This video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that work to protect and enhance the public's health and safety. Sponsors include EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental and Healthy Indoors Magazine to name a few.
