Under The Patronage of HRH Princess Dana Firas Run Jordan Celebrates the Conclusion of the First "Sam

AMMAN, Jordan - July 13, 2019 - PRLog -- Run Jordan celebrated the successful conclusion of the first "Samsung Women's Race 2019" under the slogan "Run For You" on Friday July 12^th 2019.

The first edition of "Samsung Women's Race 2019" was held with the presence of HRH Princess Dana Firas, in addition to VIPs, local community activities, and the Jordanian singer Zain Awad, who sang at the Samsung Women's Race 2019 Awarding Ceremony that was attended by 1000 participants.

In its first edition, Samsung Women's Race 2019 included two races: 2.5 KM and 5 KM to encourage women from the different age groups and fitness levels to join and participate in the first race dedicated to women titled "Run For You", whether professionals, amateurs or athletes to celebrate and empower Jordanian women, stressing on the importance of sports in the daily life.

The winners were announced during the awarding ceremony that took place at Amman Summer Festival Square, the race categories winners were crowned by HRH Princess Dana Firas, Lina El-Kurd, Run Jordan General Manager and Dana Dahbour from Samsung Electronics Levant.

The Results for the race categories came as follows:

2.5 KM - First place: Huda Jaarat (00:11:10), Second place: Maryam Shaban (00:12:25), Third place: Ayat Mustafa (00:13:47).

5 KM (Age group 12 - 18) - First place: Lama AlMufleh (00:21:41), Second place: Suzan Al Jaarat (00:23:03), Third place: Tabarak Al Jaarat (00:23:39).

5 KM (Age group 19 - 30) - First place: Hanoia Hasballah (00:21:09), Second place: Sabryeh Al Mradat (00:22:31), Third place: Karina Othman (00:24:59).

5 KM (Age group 30 +) - First place: Shareefa Saqqa (00:26:57), Second place: Ghezlan Kamouni (00:27:38), Third place: Mary Cox (00:27:44).

Ms. Lina El-Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan congratulated the winners and the participants of the first women's race, commented by saying: "We are proud with this achievement that Run Jordan accomplished by organizing this unique event aiming at empowering women and showcasing their achievements in the various fields, and we are thrilled with the attention the race received, aiming for a bigger version in the coming year".
