Pebbles Pilates increases the popularity of the jumpsuit within sports fashion
- it's already sold on Amazon and Pilates studios around the world, and is loved by Pilates instructors

"The more passionate I became about Pilates, the more frustrated I got with sportswear that required a lot of adjusting. You spend valuable time on a workout, so you want to wear clothing that allows you to be fully present. You can find inexpensive, mass produced tights in crazy colors and patterns everywhere. I was looking for classy and comfortable sportswear that you can workout in year after year," says Helena-Alexandra Hjerth, the founder of Pebbles Pilates.
Together, with a factory in Portugal that specializes in a high-tech knitting technology, Pebbles Pilates designs and produces seamless jumpsuits developed with a technology that minimizes material waste. Today, there are three styles of Pebbles Pilates jumpsuits sold online, in Pilates studios worldwide and on Amazon. Instructors from all over the world are involved in the process of developing Pebbles Pilates designs. They are testing and giving feedback on both the design and the functionality.
"It was imperative for us to involve the best in the industry. The fact that Pilates instructors and studios around the world love and buy our clothes, is proof that we are doing something right," says Helena-Alexandra Hjerth.
Pebbles Pilates founder Helena-Alexandra Hjerth started Pilates when she found out that she had scoliosis. Scoliosis is a curvature in the spine that can cause back pain and difficulty breathing. After spending time training at a Pilates studio in Los Angeles, she found the pain in her back decrease and her mobility increase. It helped with both body control and posture, but also built longer and leaner muscles. Eventually, she got certified as a Pilates instructor. In the beginning she did it mostly for herself, but as time passed, she started to take on clients while still working as a management consultant.
Pilates is a form of exercise that strengthens stabilizing muscles, which in return provides a strong posture and increased body awareness. Pilates has been popular in the US for decades, especially among celebrities in Hollywood, but is now becoming more mainstream around the world. The number of Pilates practitioners in the US alone is almost ten million and according to CNBC, Pilates and yoga are one of the fastest growing fitness forms, with a market value of over SEK 120 billion in just the United States.
