NACSA Appoints Director of Training and Development
Dr. Daniel Hect to take over training and development at the National Association of Campus Safety Administrators

In this role, Daniel will reinforce the NACSA Command College and create additional programs for the continued professional development of members capabilities. He will refine the curriculum of NACSA's intensive Command College for Public Safety Leaders that develop public safety supervisor's capacity to improve public safety agencies on college campuses and to ensure the program meets the needs of the rapidly changing college community. In addition, he will oversee NACSA's professional development program that helps members set career goals, identify skills they need to achieve those goals and creates mentoring opportunities for up and coming public safety leaders.
"The NACSA Command College has created public safety leadership course that enhances critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop campus safety experts," said Daniel. "I look forward to working with public safety leaders as we take NACSA's leadership development programs to the next level."
Before joining NACSA, Daniel was the Chief of Police at Mt Holyoke -Smith Colleges in MA, Xavier University and Denison University in OH. Daniel also served as an Officer at the University of Southern California and Riverside College in California. Daniel has transformed the performance and capabilities of these organizations, delivering leadership training and development to members of these departments. Daniel also served in the United States Air Security Forces Master Sergeant.
