Business Growth Expert Joins Actuated Medical Board

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - July 3, 2019 - PRLog -- Actuated Medical, Inc. (AMI) recently announced the addition of Bob Phelps to its Board of Directors. Mr. Phelps is the Chief Operations Officer and co-founder at Access Strategy Partners, Inc.

"Bob's business orientation to the medical device industry will provide AMI with a unique perspective as we grow," said Maureen L. Mulvihill, president and CEO of AMI. "I'm excited about the breadth of experience we have on our Board."

Mr. Phelps has more than 30 years of experience in medical device and life science markets. He has led sales, marketing, finance, business development and collaboratively managed investor relations and operations.

At Johnson & Johnson's Orthopedic Franchise, he led the sales force where revenues tripled during his tenure and the company acquired DePuy.  Prior to his sales leadership role at J&J, Bob was a Group Controller within the Finance organization. He has been the commercial leader for two start-ups. At Biosphere Medical he built the sales, marketing and clinical team which captured the market leadership position for microsphere embolic applications. Bob built a sales team at ConforMIS and launched a first-to-market patient- specific knee replacement system which grew 95% per year for four consecutive years. As a BOD Member, Bob will focus on commercialization of AMI products and provide guidance on financial resource optimization.
