Mystic Sweets Partners with Barley Head Brewery for Candy Offerings

MYSTIC, Conn. - July 3, 2019 - PRLog -- Mystic Sweets and Ice Cream Shoppe has been creating delicious chocolate, ice cream, candies, and other snacks for twenty-two years. They are proud to announce a partnership with local beer maker Barley Head Brewery. The two business are located in downtown Mystic, Connecticut and are within walking distance of each other on the Groton side of town.

"I love the downtown Mystic business community and think it's wonderful when local entrepreneurs join in to make it more dynamic." noted Mystic Sweets owner Rita Lara, she continued, "We're very proud of this opportunity to partner with Barley Head Brewery and bring our delicious flavors together for visitors to our little seaside tourist haven."

The first offering is a series of peanut brittles which utilize Barley Head's brown ale and IPA for a robust taste experience that only these two producers can provide together.

"We opened Barley Head in July 2017 as a way to create small batches of experimental brews using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. We've worked with local maltsters and farmers to introduce a diverse and constantly changing taproom list." said Drew Rogers. "We're excited to partner with our downtown Mystic neighbor, The Mystic Sweet Shoppe, to offer a specialty line of candy infused with our beers.", the brewmaster added.
