TLG Gives Selects 2019 Home Transformation Family

HOUSTON - July 2, 2019 - PRLog -- TLG Gives, the philanthropic arm of The Loken Group with Keller Williams, announced last week that the Menchaca family will be the recipient of their fourth annual Home Transformation. The project benefits one deserving Houston-area family annually, and work towards TLG Gives' mission to help deserving families in the greater Houston area in times of need.

The Menchaca family's home has endured a substantial amount of damage over the past decade and is in desperate need of restoration. Since 2014, Luis Menchaca, the patriarch of the family, has been residing in a nursing home while confined to a wheelchair. Luis' wife, Silvia, and daughter, Ana, are eager for his return from assisted living, but, since the home is far from wheelchair-accessible, realize that there is a significant amount of work to be done to the home before this is possible.

The repairs needed to make the Menchaca home a safe and wheelchair-accessible environment include repair of severe cracks and damage to flooring, a complete bathroom renovation, new countertops in the kitchen, and exterior refurbishing.

"The support we've received through the past several weeks has been incredible," said Luis and Silvia's daughter, Ana. "My heart breaks that I can't help [my mom] as much as I want, as we are just getting back on our feet from Hurricane Harvey. This is truly a blessing. Thank you for helping her!"

TLG Gives' ultimate goal through this project is to enable Luis to move back home with his wife by transforming their home into a beautiful, wheelchair-accessible space.

Renovations on the Menchaca home begin in early July and are scheduled to take place over a span of two weeks.
