TORONTO - June 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Dark Helix Press announces the release of Futuristic Canada, a speculative fiction anthology featuring short stories inspired by Canada's cities, wilderness, and rich cultural diversity which makes this Canada great.

Stories include visions of apocalyptic futures to genetically designed children gone bad, librarians trained in the martial arts to sentient bookshops using spell books to increase sales.

"As a writer is it hard for me to be surprised by storylines," Futuristic Canada Editor JF Garrard comments. "However, the stories in this book are full of twists and turns, making them delightful reads when sitting on the deck of a cottage by the lake and wanting more exciting things to happen! This book is an act of love, created for the liberal country in which we live in. We hope by giving it away during Canada Day that this will encourage others to read and share stories of their visions of the future and think about how to create a positive tomorrow."

Contributing authors include Timothy Carter, Jen Franke, Mathias Jansson, Andrew Jensen, JF Garrard, Ira Nayman, Helen Power, Frederick Charles Melancon, Christine Rains, Melissa Small, Ryan Toxopeus, Paul Williams and Melissa Yuan-Innes.

The ebook version will be available free internationally on Amazon between Monday, July 1, 2019, 12:00 AM PDT to Friday, July 5, 2019, 11:59 PM PDT.
